Dave has worked for over 30 years in the civil construction industry. He has been a General Superintendent and Foreman for more than 15 years

Dave has worked for over 30 years in the civil construction industry. He has been a General Superintendent and Foreman for more than 15 years and has operated a variety of equipment. He has also trained and certified other operators in the use of plant and production techniques.

He has supervised the construction of 20 major contracts which have included teams of up to 70 staff and many subcontractors. He has gained a number of qualifications in site management and has extensive experience and training in site safety, quality assurance management and environmental controls. He is very experienced with NZTA standards for roading construction and KiwiRail for works in the rail corridor.

Edwin Zwanenburg

Edwin is our Senior Engineer with almost 30 years’ experience in the industry both in NZ and internationally.

Edwin is our Senior Engineer with almost 30 years’ experience in the industry both in NZ and internationally. In his roles at Downer NZ and Fletcher Infrastructure, Edwin worked on significant projects like the City Rail Link and Waterview Tunnel. There, he honed his skills in engineering management, project planning, and constructability support, which he now brings to Civil Alliance, ensuring successful and high-quality deliveries.

Edwin’s technical expertise and proactive leadership make him a valuable asset to Civil Alliance, ensuring our clients receive projects that meet and exceed their benchmarks for success.

Rachael McNaught

Rachael, our Health and Safety Manager, has over 30 years of experience in the civil and mining sectors, with the last decade as a H&S specialist.

Rachael, our Health and Safety Manager, has over 30 years of experience in the civil and mining sectors, with the last decade as a H&S specialist. For Rachael it’s about the people. Known for her practical approach, experience, and outstanding communication skills, Rachael engages all levels of project teams throughout the project lifecycle.

As a former Environmental, H&S Manager for Higgins Hawkes Bay and QSE manager for Tupore Infrastructure, she has led safety efforts on key projects like the Napier Port Wharf 6 and the SH2 Silverstream alignment. In 2023, Rachael was part of the WorkSafe and Infrastructure Commission ‘Thriving Infrastructure’ cohort. Her track record includes the recovery work on the North Auckland Line for KiwiRail and leading safety initiatives during Cyclone Gabrielle. A Professional Member of the NZISM and listed on the HASANZ register, our Health and Safety management is in capable hands with Rachael.

Campbell is a leader in Construction Environmental Management with over 28 years of experience in erosion and sediment control and environmental planning.

Campbell is a leader in Construction Environmental Management with over 28 years of experience in erosion and sediment control and environmental planning. As the former Director of the International Erosion Control Association (IECA Australasia Chapter), his expertise gained from council and consultancy work includes managing multi-disciplinary environmental projects.

Recognised with awards like the Waikato Regional Council Erosion and Sediment Control Earthworks ‘Site of the Year’ for the Te Uku Wind Farm and Huntly Bypass, Campbell has contributed to major projects such as the Te Ahu a Turanga Highway and the SH1 Pukekohe to Bombay Upgrade. His skills in designing and managing environmental plans ensure compliance and project success. As the author of Auckland Council’s award-winning GD05 Erosion and Sediment Control Guideline, Campbell has influenced best practices nationwide.

Campbell is also a recognised Erosion and Sediment Control and Environmental Management trainer, delivering an IECA Approved Training courses to councils, contractors and consultants across New Zealand.

Morisha Raj

Morisha is our Quantity Surveyor, bringing extensive expertise in evaluating, planning, and executing cost estimation for our projects.

Morisha is our Quantity Surveyor, bringing extensive expertise in evaluating, planning, and executing cost estimation for our projects. Since joining Civil Alliance in January 2024, she has been instrumental in handling KiwiRail claims, showcasing her meticulous attention to detail and strong analytical skills. Previously, at Clevercore CM Ltd, she contributed to Auckland Airport Pavement Works by performing take-offs, obtaining supplier and subcontractor quotes, and maintaining accurate project records.

Morisha’s contributions to Civil Alliance extend beyond project execution; her precise pricing and tender preparation significantly enhance the company’s competitive edge. Her ability to manage project costs effectively and her keen understanding of construction contracts make her an invaluable asset, ensuring successful project outcomes and robust financial management.
